ABOUT THE ARTIST

Hello and welcome! My name is Serenella Velez and I am an undergraduate student at Tulane University pursuing a bachelor's degree in Biochemistry with a minor in English and Spanish. I have studied visual arts my whole life, including at the Southern Art Society from 2018 until 2022. Through medical illustration, I have been able to integrate my lifelong loves for science and art. I work hard to bring my clients’ visions to life by combining traditional as well as modern digital illustration techniques. Examples of uses for my work include article figures, slideshow diagrams, and textbook illustration.
